Foreign Currency Current Account (Giro Valas) is a current account that does not provide checks and/or giro slips (Bilyet Giro). Withdrawals can only be made using a receipt duly affixed with sufficient stamp duty in accordance with applicable regulations. The Foreign Currency Current Account offers several advantages, including :

  1. Initial Deposit and Minimum Balance Requirements:
    • Individual Foreign Currency Current Account (USD/SGD)
      • Customer shall have a minimum initial deposit of $100,-.
      • Customer shall have a minimum balance of $50,-.
    • Non-Individual (Corporate) Foreign Currency Current Account (USD/SGD)
      • Customer shall have a minimum initial deposit of $250,-.
      • Customer shall have a minimum balance of $100,-.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Individual Foreign Currency Current Account
    1. Customer shall present the original valid identification documents, as follows:
      • For Indonesian citizens (WNI), an E-KTP.
      • For Foreign nationals (WNA), a KTP/KITAP/KITAS and a Valid Passport.
    2. Submit the Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP)
    3. Fill out and sign the Account Opening Form and Individual Customer Information Form.
  • Non-Individual (Corporate) Foreign Currency Current Account
    1. Customer shall present the original valid identification documents, as follows:
      • For Indonesian citizens (WNI), an E-KTP.
      • For Foreign nationals (WNA), a KTP/KITAP/KITAS and a Valid Passport.
    2. Company's Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP).
    3. Company Establishment Deed (Akta Pendirian Perusahaan).
    4. Business Registration Number (Nomor Induk Berusaha "NIB")
    • Declaration letter of individual establishment from the Indonesia Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
    In the event the customer passes away, disbursement of the Foreign Currency Current Account by the heirs must comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Product Risk

  • An account that has no activity, such as balance checks, deposits, or withdrawals, for more than 360 consecutive days will have its status changed to inactive on the 361st day.
  • An account that has no activity, such as balance checks, deposits, or withdrawals, for more than 1800 consecutive days will have its status changed to dormant on the 1801st day.
  • An account with a zero balance for 30 consecutive calendar days will be automatically closed by the Bank Mestika system.

  • Fees
    1. Monthly Administration Fee
      • Individual and Non-Individual (Corporate) Foreign Currency Current Accounts: USD/SGD $3,- per month.
    2. Inactive administration fee: Rp0,-.
    3. Dormant administration fee $7,- per month (the average monthly balance less than $100,- ).
    4. Account Closure Fee
      • Individual and Non-Individual (Corporate) Foreign Currency Current Accounts: USD/SGD $15,-.
    5. Transfer Fee
      • Individual and Non-Individual (Corporate) Foreign Currency Current Accounts: Rp35,000,-.
    6. Transfer Fee (Full Amount): USD/SGD $25,-.
